Community Involvement
OWL Orphaned Wildlife Rehab
OWL is a local facility which is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of raptors (eagles, falcons, hawks, osprey, owls, and vultures). These beautiful creatures are so imporant to the local eco-system and make up so much of what is unique to our beautiful corner of the world. Many birds which come into the care of OWL will require veterinary care. At Huff Animal Hospital, we donate care and services to help get these creatures back out into the wild for all of us to enjoy.
Delta Community Animal Shelter
Our local shelter has a wonderful team of dedicated animal advocates and we are proud to be able to help them find forever homes for their adoptable pets. Our doctors routinely perform spay and neuter surgeries and other health care services for animals in the care of DCAS to encourage adoption and decrease overpopulation.
Wildlife Rescue Association
If you have found injured or orphaned wildlife, please contact Wildlife Resue Association. They can give you instructions on how to proceed with your situation. Huff Animal Hospital is an official drop-off point for WRA. Should the wildlife require care by WRA, it can be brought to us at Huff Animal Hospital for care until it can be transfered. Please call the clinic before dropping off any wildlife.
